What I Got For Christmas 2014

Another Christmas has passed and as I write this on NYE we are planning what the next year has in store for us, be it to do exactly the same as this year or to make some changes. Every new year brings food for thought, I personally think 2015 will be a big change for me as I have some big plans coming up.

I'm quite a nosey person and therefore love these types of posts/videos. I love to see what people have got for Christmas, and if I have any money leftover I often make a few sneaky purchases based on them! This isn't a braggy post, just one I personally like to read and thought I would do my own. I was pretty spoilt this year, and it's mainly because this is potentially my last Christmas in my family home as (all fingers crossed) we are hoping to buy our own house sometime in the New Year.

There we have it a peak into what I got this Christmas, it goes without saying that I am incredibly grateful for everything I received this year, all of my gifts are amazing and I'm very lucky to have friends and family who know me so well! The best part of my Christmas this year though was getting to share it with all the people I love, whilst presents are nice, there's nothing better than having a game of monopoly whilst listening to some festive music with my family.
I hope you all had a Fantastic Christmas

Lifestyle | Christmas With Me

Hello Everyone!

I hope you all had a fantastic Christmas, I had taken a little bloggers break this year just to take time to spend the festive week with my nearest and dearest. I'm back now with a little peak into how I spent Christmas this year.

It was a small affair but none the less lovely. We woke early Christmas morning and raced downstairs to open our gifts (What I got for Christmas post coming soon!), once we had opened all of ours it was the animals turn to open there's! Tilly (our dog) has never been so excited, she was thrilled with her toys and spoilt for choice as to what to play with first!

Once the excitement of opening our gifts had subsided a little we settled down for breakfast whilst organising the table and starting the dinner preparations. I love the smell of Christmas dinner cooking, the pans bubbling away and festive music playing in the background. It's my favourite part of the day.

My Dad made his scrumptious home made Yorkshire puddings and put on lashings of gravy, as you can see! I had the vegetarian version of our Christmas dinner (I didn't get a photo of mine!) and it was delicious! After we had stuffed ourselves silly we had a little relax, I read my new book and my Dad had Top of the Pops on the T.V.

Tilly was that exhausted from all of the excitement that she buried herself in her blankets before having a nap.

Some hours later we rallied ourselves round and set off for a post-dinner walk. The sunset was beautiful and I just had to stop and admire it. We ambled on for a while pottering over the fields trying to work off the huge amount we had just eaten before making our way back home.

Once we were back we cracked open the nibbles and sat down for an intense game of monopoly! I was terrible at it and ended up bankrupt not too far in to the game..oops!

There we have a peak into my cosy quiet Christmas.

Hope you all had a good Christmas!

Beauty | Quick and Easy Christmas Make-Up Look

It's only 4 days until Christmas! So I thought it was high time to share my most coveted Christmas make-up. The look is quick and easy to do and fits in perfectly with the festive season.

Let's start with the face:

I first apply MAC's Prep & Prime all over my face, next I blend in my Estee Lauder Double wear. I'm the shade Cool Bone. I love this foundation for party looks and nights out as it has such good durability and longevity, it can survive the sweat, the cold and anything else you throw at it. It also provides excellent coverage which is good if your skin has decided to play up just before a big event!

I then slick on my favourite concealer, The collection lasting perfection concealer, under my eyes, around my nose and on any blemishes just to give added coverage in any red areas.

Then we need to set the liquid bases with a powder to stop them looking too oily. I like to just powder my T-zone as this is where I get the most shine. I use the Rimmel Stay Matte powder.

To finish I pop on a bit of rose pink blush and use MAC's cream highlighter in Luna on the tops of my cheeks for a healthy dewy glow.

Onto the eyes now:

For eye shadow I decided to use the Sephora Palette 'sunrise to sunset' as I wanted to go for a more golden smoky look. I used the middle shade all over the lid and the dark matte brown in the crease to give the eye some depth. I blended this out with my brush to give it a smoky effect.

I used a white liner on my lash line to make my eyes look more awake and refreshed. I didn't fancy a black liner as I was going for a bold lip. I tend to stick to the dramatic eyes and neutral lip or bold lip and neutral eyes rule.

I did however use the Maybelline Master Graphic liner on my lid line to create a feline flick.

For my lashes I used the BE Creative mascara in Lash Supreme. I adore this mascara but I picked it up whilst I was travelling in Amsterdam so therefore I'm not sure if it is available in the UK. I wanted to give my lashes a flirty look so decided to use the Tanya Burr lashes in 'Date Night' as these are perfect for creating flirty fluttery eyes.

As for the lips there was only one option, Ruby Woo by MAC. It is my all time favourite red lip shade! However, with it being a matte formula it can be quite drying so  like to slather on some Baby Lips Lip Balm before applying the Ruby Woo. Just like the foundation the formula of this lipstick means it has excellent staying power, it can last through meals and everything without needing to be redone.

Et Voila, a quick and easy Christmas make-up look.

What make-up will you be donning this Christmas?

Lifestyle | My Party Clutch Bag Essentials

So it is only 5 days until Christmas Day! Where has the time gone?! If your like me you will have a few festive parties or outings to go to over the next few weeks, We don our best outfits, brave the cold and have a good knees up with our friends and family. So I thought I would share with you what I will be carrying around in my clutch bag during this festive period.

My bag of choice this year is this faux leather clutch, with studded detailing on the flap. I love how it's versatile yet has a bit of Christmassy sparkle to it as well. I picked it up from Peacocks for just £14.00! A little bargain in my eyes.

So the first and probably most important thing in my bag is this little sparkly purse, it's also from Peacocks and was just £5.00, it's the perfect size to carry your; I.D, Credit Card and a little cash in. It is quite small but for a night out I like to take the bare essentials.

The second most important thing in my bag is my phone. Not only is it useful for keeping in touch with who you are out with, calling a taxi and other things it is also my substitute for a camera, to capture all those hilarious drunken selfies.

The next three things some of you may frown at, but let me tell you they are secret saviours. Firstly, I take paracetemol everywhere with me, even if I don't need them on the night, I usually do in the morning! When my bag is slung over the bed I can easily grab them and stop the hangover cloud that usually descends on me!

The next two are really handy, a lot of the time there is no soap left in the ladies toilets, particularly in busy clubs. It's always a good idea to carry round some antibacterial hand sanitizer to keep your hands nice and clean, especially if you plan a dinner and drinks event.

The next is tissue, another toilet related problem that most women will encounter on a night out is a shortage of toilet roll. I always carry tissue with me for that reason, but they are also useful if you have a cold or need to clean a spill. They are definitely multi purpose!

The final two items are beauty related, obviously I can't leave home without a couple of products! I always take the lipstick that I'm wearing to touch up every now and again. I also like to take a concealer, to slick under the eyes and around my mouth to keep my make up looking clean and fresh.

So there we have it, the essentials that I will be carrying around in my clutch bag during this busy party season.

Do you think there is anything I should add to my bag that you consider a party essential?

Lifestyle | Boozy Bailey's & Orange Hot Chocolates

Now that the cold has set in and the festive season has dawned on us we are looking forward to cosy nights in watching Elf, or is that just me!?

Sometimes a cold drink just doesn't tickle your fancy on these dark dreary nights, but you still fancy a cheeky tipple? I have the perfect mix!

A Boozy Orange & Baileys Hot Choc-tail. A little twist on the fabulous name Rosie from The Londoner came up with for them, she refers to them as 'Hot-tails' which I love! So Sounds good right? Right!

So here's what you will need:

-Hot Chocolate Powder
-Terry's Chocolate Orange
-Whipped Cream
-Sprinkles (Optional)
-Candy Cane (Optional)

So now you have your ingredients, let's begin.

1. Pour your milk into the pan and add your hot chocolate powder, stir until bubbles develop. This means you've reached boiling point.

2. Break in your Terry's Chocolate Orange segments and stir well.

3. Add a good slug of Baileys (the more the better in my opinion!) Please excuse my nails, they will be repainted soon!

4. Now pour the mix into your cup, add a good dollop of whipped cream and enjoy!

If your feeling a bit cheeky you could use Orange Liqueur instead of the Terry's chocolate orange, for an even more boozy concoction! These sweet treats are perfect for house parties, or just enjoying on your own. I'm drinking mine as I write this post! Enjoy.

Let me know if you try this Orange Chocolaty goodness!
