The Perfect Primark Lip Liner

When I was browsing the aisles of Primark last week, I popped over to the beauty section to grab my favourite eye liner and stumbled across this lip liner. I'm really impressed with Primark's range of make-up, it seems to keep growing, and the quality is really lovely too!

This particular lip liner took my fancy. It's the perfect dark nude shade for Autumn. I find nude lipsticks really difficult to wear due to having such a fair complexion, however, I think this particular shade suits me quite nicely. It makes my skin tone look warmer.

The only gripe I have is that the lip liner doesn't appear to have a name, so I've tried to capture the colour of it as best I can for those of you who want to try it out. For the price, it's definitely worth trying, even if, in the end, you decide it's not for you.

The packaging itself is a very clean, black and gold design. I love gold on anything at the minute, and I have somewhat become a magpie for it!

The pigmentation is excellent, the liner comes out slightly creamy and very opaque. I'm a huge fan of a matte lip in Autumn, and therefore decided, after testing it out of my hand, that I would apply it all over my lips.

I really liked how the lip liner looked by itself and the staying power was so much better than your standard lipstick. It lasted most of the day, even after eating and drinking, which is a definite bonus when you work long days like me.  I'm always looking to improve the longevity of my make-up.

The pointed tip makes it so easy to get a perfect outline, enhancing the natural shape of your lips.  At the same time the formula makes it simple to use all over. It's a win win situation in my eyes!

Overall, what I love most about this Lip Liner is not only the amazing price, but also the longevity. The less you have to re-apply, the longer it should last. Essentially more bang for your buck! The colour is so lovely and autumnal too, I can see it fast becoming my go to lip product. Although, I may have to find a good lip salve for the winter, as the product is mainly matte in texture, which could be a dry lips worst enemy. Considering all of the elements, this liner gets a 10/10 from me, hats  off to Primark for having the best autumnal dark nude lip shade.

Suede Skirts & Polo Necks

Shop The Look

Polo Neck- New Look
Sleeveless Blazer- Primark
Suede Skirt- Select Fashion
Bag- Michael Kors
Fur Pom Pom - H&M

Now that the weather has turned colder I have been reaching for my warm clothes, my favourite piece being this roll neck top. It has a fine rib texture, so it's not too thick, but the high neck keeps you nice and warm. I decided to layer it up with this fitted sleeveless blazer, to give the outfit a bit of edge.

The suede camel skirt is very on trend now and gives the muted outfit a little pop of colour whilst keeping within the autumn colour palette. I wore this outfit to a I attended and felt confident yet comfortable all day.

Primark P.S Love Pallette | A Review

It is undeniable that I have a bit of an obsession with neutral eye shadow palettes, from the pricier Naked 1,2 &3 to the cheaper Avon and Beauty UK palettes I just can't seem to get enough of them. Therefore when I was doing my usual peruse around Primark I couldn't help but have a stop by their new make-up line. That's when I caught sight of this palette, 8 neutral shadows for £2.50? Straight into the basket!

Now I have to admit for £2.50 I wasn't expecting a lot from the palette, however I have been pleasantly surprised by the quality of  the shadows. Now the pigmentation is nowhere near the standards of the Naked Palette, but again what do you expect for the fraction of the price. The shades provide a semi-sheer tint of colour, which is perfect for day wear in which you don't want too much colour coverage.

The packaging is quite nice too, I'm not too pleased about the sticker with the price running along the top as if you peel it off it leaves a sticky residue. Hence the reason I have left it on. Other than that minor irritant the packaging is sleek with its' black and gold design.

Overall, if you are after a cheap and cheerful set of neutral shadows then this palette fits the bill. However, if you love a more opaque shadow then it probably would not be suitable. This palette is amazing value for money and I think I will get a lot of day wear out of it.

Have you tried any of the Primark P.S Love range?

Perfect Primark Pointies

Recently I have been on the hunt for some black, classy looking heels. I didn't want to pay too much to start with as I rarely ever wear pointed shoes and wanted to test run some before committing to something more expensive. So where did I go first? Primark of course! They had an array of different pointed heeled shoes, but these really caught my eye.

They are a faux suede matte looking fabric, which I must say was probably not my wisest of choices due to them attracting dust like crazy. The few marks you can see are from my over zealousness of dry shampoo (Oops!) These beauties were only £10.00 which is an absolute steal. I feel so elegant and classy when I wear them, which may sound ridiculous but its true!

They don't have a very high heel and are sling back style, this makes them super comfortable to walk in. I'm not sure how long they will last me or if they are rain proof (I highly doubt they are). However, for a starter pair I think they are pretty perfect.

What do you think? do you like pointed shoes?

Pretty Primark Purchases

1. Pink Tumbler- £2.00
2. Poodle socks pack of 3- £2.00
3. Panda slippers- £3.00
4. Pink sleeveless shirt - £8.00

Hello Lovelies,

Today was my last official lecture, I am almost free just have a bit of essay editing to do and then I'm all done! I can't tell you how good it feels. I will be starting working full time soon too so I am looking forward to have some extra money rather than having to scrimp and save (I know what you're thinking, I do like a little treat ;]). I am also going travelling in 14 weeks for a whole month so most of my money will be going towards that. Not without picking up some nice clothing pieces to take with me that is.

The main reason I popped into Primark in the first place was to see if they had anything that would be suitable for my trip, however, I ended up coming away with these four little goodies instead! I am trying to drink more water and thought that by having a nice cup it might encourage me, haha, I am also intending on chopping up fruit into the water and leaving it in the fridge to diffuse and thought that it would come in handy for that too. The next two purchases were purely impulse buys, how cute are those socks and slippers?! As soon as I saw them I couldn't resist popping them into my basket. Finally, if you have seen my previous wish list I have been lusting after a pink sleeveless shirt for a while now I can imagine wearing it with acid wash jeans and my lilac grey blazer.

Hope you've all had a good Friday, I am hoping now that the work load has eased to start getting more outfit posts up and maybe even a few cheeky baking ones? Let me know what you would like to see :)

Thanks for reading!

An outfit for £21?!

Hello Lovelies,

Today I thought I would share with you the ultimate bargain of an outfit- including shoes! Impossible I hear you say, nope I'm not kidding this whole outfit really did cost just £21.00

Although the past few weeks have been lovely and sunny, the rain has soon made its presence noticed, I decided that I needed a thin waterproof jacket for the days when it's too warm for a coat but too wet to go without. My destination? Primark!

Khaki waterproof jacket - Primark- £9.00!

White tee- Primark- £3.00
Jeans- Primark - £7.00
Pumps- Primark- £3.00
Just on cue the rain began
Close up of todays hair and make-up, I opted for messy curls, winged eyeliner and an orange red lip in order to fit with the spring trend :)

There you have it; a jacket, top, jeans and pumps for only £21.00! You cannot complain at that price and I have a feeling with the indecisive weather just lately this jacket will be very handy, it folds up to almost nothing and therefore if the sun does make an appearance it is easy to pop it in your bag

What do you think will be your wardrobe essential this spring?

Primark Haul

Hello Lovelies,

I have a confession to make.. I shop too much! I can't seem to walk by Primark without having a wander around, which inevitably leads to spending. I have been feeling very under the weather lately with an horrendous cold so I thought I would cheer myself up by buying a few new treats.

I haven't had chance to take any outfit posts as I've either been in my gym gear or my lounging around clothes the past few days. I will try and make more of a conscious effort to get dressed this week but when your ill I think its acceptable to lounge around haha.

Here are the things I picked up from Primark today:

 White Lace box Shirt- £10.00
I love the neon orange thread that's woven into the lace of the top, it adds
just a lovely pop of colour and will look amazing in the spring and summer
period

Navy floral collared box top- £8.00
I have a bit of an obsession with collars, I have since they first made their
appearance and I think they will be a permanent wardrobe fixture of mine. In spring
and summer I tend to replace my beloved black with navy, for a softer take on a
neutral tone.

Black cutout scallop shorts- £10.00
When I saw these I could not believe they were only £10.00! I adore the silky material
and the scallop cut out pattern is the perfect hint of detail to make the shorts even more
feminine.

Trainers- £7.00
I needed some new gym trainers as mine were beginning to form holes!

Cut out shoes/sandals- £6.00
These are a mixture of a sandal and a shoe, a shoedal maybe?
they will be perfect for those warm city days were sandals aren't practical
but shoes are too warm.

Have any of you been thinking about your spring wardrobe yet?
